Reckless is now my senior girl, since the death of
her mother in September 2006. Pumpkin was my
foundation Tonkinese, the daughter of my first ever
Burmese (Truffle) and from her first litter. I was
captivated with the Tonkinese, and loved the tabby
markings which came from the first stud I used.
Reckless was the image of her mother, and came from Pumpkin's last litter - 8 kittens. She was a fantastic mother, adoring her babies, and Reckless is just the same, though she extends her adoration to everyone else's babies too!
Pumpkin started her show career aged 8 with a Best in Show and red card day. I had only brought her out 'for fun', but after that couldn't resist a bit more showing, so she ended up being a Grand Premier.
Reckless is not so keen on the show bench - some days she seems to love it, others she hides under her blanket. I haven't taken her out for a long time, so I think she will retire gracefully!
