Listo (pronounced 'Leesto') is a blue tabby
Tonkinese, and son of Reckless and Starbuck.
He is my big soppy neutered boy, and adores me and wants to be on my lap all the time. He's very gentle and sadly found that his father decided he did not like him quite suddenly. I was hoping that he would be a companion for Starbuck, but Starbuck decided that ANY male - even a neutered one - was too much of a challenge.
Listo is happy with the situation, as it means he can slob all over me all the time! He's a gentle boy and the first to make friends with new additions to the household, especially kittens.

(Incidentally, Listo is an Italian word for a young
man who thinks he's just too sexy for his shirt. My
Listo was named after the first cat I met in Oxford
when I moved here nearly 20 years ago and couldn't
yet keep a cat myself. He belonged to John and
Rachel Cecil, our next door neighbours at the time.
He was a stunning blue tabby 'moggy', but clearly
with aristocratic forbears, as he had a lovely
oriental type and great intelligence. John and
Rachel reckoned he was gay, as he spent so much
time preening and admiring himself, but was
definitely not a ladies man! The Cecil's Listo died
only recently at an age which must have been over
20 years. He was my first friend in Oxford, and I
still remember him vividly and with great
affection.)
